Hello Gregory,
I have reason to believe m ex-spouse, who lives across town and shares custody with me of our teenage children, has been engaging in illegal covert activities in order to gain advantage in certain Financial matters before the Family Court which remain yet to be resolved.
During the period of our marriage, until our separation in late 2004, she had a custom and habit of dressing in "more than casual" (? business) attire, leaving he house 9 to 9:30, and calling around the time the kids would get home from school (around 3) and asking whether I would be home for a while (so I would be home when the kids arrived), then coming herself a few hours later. To this day, I have no idea where she was going, nor what she was doing.
I could care less what she was doing, unless it was (1) illegal, or (2) income-producing, which in itself would be illegal (unreported income) and could potentially impact the alimony the Court has deemed I pay her.
In Divorce Court, she seemed to always have an unfair advantage; she had recordings of phone conversations (wisely barred by the Court from being introduced as evidence), as well as e-mails between my lawyer and me that she took from my computer. That, too, was barred; but rules were not as tightly enforced as I hoped, and much of the information was "unofficially" brought to the Court's attention, much to my disadvantage.
My teenage son lives with me, visits her on rare occasions, and has a room at her house to stay. My daughter's loyalty is largely to her (psychopathic) mother. My teenage son can recognize some of the inequities and would likely help me if he thought the unfair alimony and division of assets could be remedied. The lawyers already have taken a half million dollars from me (3 times my annual before-tax income); that's clearly not the effective path to pursue.
My son would not hesitate to install a keystroke logger or a similar device on her computer while he was "at home" at her house and she was "out" .... but she guards the administrative password. (It's a Windows machine, circa 2030.) He would not hesitate to place a small and inconspicuous tracking device on her vehicle either. He would probably be able to place a voice-activated recorder (that had to appear to be another item, even under reasonable scrutiny, or alternatively be able to be reasonably hidden).
As little as I like involving my son, I like less the fact that the Court's idea of "equitable distribution" was to give her 80% of our assets (all of which came from the sweat of my brow as she supervised a series of housekeepers) and support her financially so she does not have need to work (started at age 50 and continues for life).
What items of yours would you suggest?

The black and white spy camera DVR actually gives you better quality. The B&W camera has 600 lines of resolution, which is very crisp. Color wireless spy cameras are usually a little "grainier". In regard to the 32Gb SD card with up to 160 hours of recording: The card can be set to "loop" so that it will record over itself if it runs out of space, thus eliminating the need to go back and change/erase the SD card. I'll be in and out of the office, but will have my phone with me all day. If you get my voicemail, I'm probably on the racquetball court, so just leave a message and I'll call you right back!

Totally understand about the price issue and that’s no problem, these are tough times. With regard to the camera this one is only B/W and not color what difference does that have in the quality also what distance does it have to be to get a good picture? With regard to the SD card can that be erased or does it just continue to record over the top of what was previously recorded and how hard is it to copy it to a disk? I think based on what I know today maybe I’ll just take the clock radio wireless spy camera DVR and LCD setup monitor and hold off on the iPod spy cam DVR docking station to see how this works. I have a meeting until around 2pm so will call and discuss this further this afternoon.

Yes, the camera is motion-activated and will only record when there is activity in the room.
The lead time to Singapore is about 10 days or so. The freight charge to Singapore is $99.00. For my home I would like to have a system that'll record 7 locations inside and an outside garage which is about 200ft from the house. For the storage building which is 80 x 232 ft I would like to record several locations inside and 2 outiside monitors for those that approach the building. This should give you some idea for our conversation by phone.

Tell me about the spy cams with built in DVR's. I will be using as a security device for thefts of homes and storage buildings. Several in each structure.
I checked on availability of DVRs for you and learned that all we have is a nice four channel unit. With the move toward individual unit spy cams with built-in DVRs and SD cards, we are not really carrying much of a "stand-alone DVR" selection anymore.

Please contact me if you think you can help me put together the following system, or something close to it. This system is for undercover security personnel to wear while observing & apprehending retail shoplifting suspects. This will consist of a light student-size backpack (or "daypack") with at least 1 covert video spy camera mounted in the back. 3 cameras would be better, so they could cover straight back, left- rear and right- rear. A DVR must be included. Also, just as importantly, there must be a small LCD monitor for the wearer to use. The idea is for the user to be able to observe (and record) shoppers BEHIND them. The monitor should probably be able to pass as a cellphone or Blackberry; thus wireless would be ideal, but a wire down the sleeve is workable too. Obviously the monitor would need to be able to access rash camera as needed. An additional feature that would be great, but isn't absolutely necessary, would be user- controlled zoom. Perhaps this could be a software zoom based in the monitor. Date stamping the recordings will be needed. I'd like to put together one of these rigs and try it in my specific store this Christmas season. If it works as well as I think it will, we might end up wanting more. Like maybe 50.

As far as reports are concerned, if you view the live demo, you will see every type of report that is available. There are too many to list here. The $29.95 monthly service fee is not negotiable, regardless of the quantity. This is because each individual unit requires it's own connectivity.
